For You Leftists Out There, Here Is A Substantive Attack.

This is a Mitt Romney attack on Newt Gingrich, and it is a good one. Mitt Romney brings up a solid point, and quite frankly, as a Newt Gingrich supporter, I also would like to see Speaker Gingrich address it. I want to know that these kinds of deviations of Speaker Gingrich's are going to disappear, or at the very least be kept to a minimum should he one day be President Gingrich.

What I like about the ad, is that it concentrates on a Gingrich policy position. It sticks to something factual and centers on a clearly incorrect position that he took. As such, it is fair game. It is also fair game to bring up the fact that Mitt Romney also came out against the Ryan plan. So, in this particular instance, his attack on Newt is disingenuous.

Democrats, when you launch your attacks come next year, do so like this. Attack the positions. Let's not fabricate bald faced lies and then whine about the, "mean Republican attack machine," as you tell them. If you wish to make character an issue that is O.K. as well. Just remember that your man purposefully allowed a Border Patrol Agent die as part of an effort to promote the removal of our Second Amendment Rights. Newt Gingrich may have had a couple of divorces, but he didn't order anyone's death in order to push a domestic policy agenda. Mitt Romney may have a bad reputation running Bain Capital, but he didn't incentivize people to by exploding cars so that we would stop using efficient forms of energy production.
